Gajar Halwa

The moment we think of any sweet it is either loaded with ghee or mava. My technique of make this gajar halwa with little ghee and milk. As the milk  starts evaporating mava is formed but is a healthier version than the store bought. It is a low calorie sweet compared to the other sweets. You can serve the gajar halwa hot or cold.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups grated carrot
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 spoon ghee
  • 3-4 cashews
  • 3-4 almonds
  • 7-8 raisins

Process->Boil the milk in a thick bottom sauce pan. Add the grated carrot and cook it with the milk on a slow flame stirring occasionally to avoid burning. Cook this mixture for 30-45 minutes on a slow flame. Add sugar once the milk has almost evaporated. Finally drizzle the ghee and the dry fruits and toss till it is slightly moist.

Note->Adjust sugar as per your taste.
