Jeera rice

Jeera rice is a common but yet popular rice in any party. The whole garam masala gives a very nice aroma to the rice and a drizzle of butter gives it a rich taste. Serve it plain, with dal, veg or non-veg gravies you are ought to enjoy it and that’s a guarantee.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 2 spoons oil
  • 1 spoon jeera
  • 5 pepper corns
  • 1 masala elaichi
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 5 cloves
  • 2 inch cinnamon
  • Salt
  • Corriander leaves
  • 1 spoon butter
Process->Add oil to a hot pan. When hot add garam masala, jeera and onions cook tender. Add the rice to the masala and stir for 2-3 minutes on a medium flame. Boil 2 cups of water and salt and add it to the rice. When the rice is half cooked add some butter. Garnish the rice with corriander and give it a final stir
