Quick Veg Pulao

We all friends met for lunch today and each one of us decided to make something. I made the veg pulao for kids and adults. We experience as cooks that when you cook any dish you never feel like eating it that very moment. Other than me everybody enjoyed the pulao. So I can share with all my friends online.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup basmati rice
  • 1 cup frozen vegetables
  • 1 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 spoon grated ginger
  • 7 cloves
  • 4-5 pepper corns
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 pinches shahi jeera
  • 2 inches cinnamon
  • 1 Masala elaichi
  • 2 green elaichi
  • Salt
  • Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 spoon Biryani powder
  • Salt
  • Turmeric
  • Oil
  • Ghee
  • 7-8 sticks corriander leaves
Process-> In a pressure cooker add 3 spoons of oil. Add all the garam masala and let it splutter. Once the garam masala splutter add the onions and cook them translucent. Add the tomato puree, ginger, turmeric, salt, red chilli powder, corriander leaves and biryani powder. Saute the tomato puree with the spices and cook it. Add the frozen vegetables and cook it 5-7 minutes. Finally add the rice adjust the taste of salt and red chilli powder accordingly. Add hot water to the rice and cook it on a medium flame. Drizzle some ghee once it has cooked. Enjoy it with raita or papad.
