Potato Fry

Potato is a very common vegetable in every household all over the world .You can use potato for appetizers, soups, curries, pulao, paratha, fries etc. There are numerous kinds of potato and each potato has its own individual taste and texture. I generally buy the Idaho potato. This simple potato fry is the easiest to make and is ready in just 10-15 minutes and a perfect side dish for curd rice or chapati.

Ingredients
  • 2 medium potato 
  • Red chilli powder
  • Salt
  • Jeera
  • Mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil 
  • Corriander leaves


Process-> Slice the potato in small cubes or slices. Take oil in a non-stick pan. As the oil gets heated add mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves and let it splutter. Add turmeric, potato and salt and toss it. Place a lid on pan and let it cook on a slow medium flame. Stir it occasionally don't add any water. Once the potato cooks tender add red chilli powder and toss it. Sprinkle corriander leaves.
