Spicy cabbage vadi

Friday nights are generally late nights and you want to munch on something  different than the regular meals. Appetizers generally are very oily but this cabbage dics require only 3 spoons oil and still they are crispy. They are healthy as it has cabbage and they can be enjoyed hot or cold. It can be a good tea time snack also. A better option than chips.

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2  cups grated cabbage
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 1 spoon wheat flour
  • Green chilli paste
  • 5-6 stems corriander leaves
  • 1 spoon dhaniya jeera powder
  • 2 garlic pods grated
  • Hing
  • Turmeric
  • Ajwain
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Jeera
  • Mustard seeds
  • 7-8 Curry leaves
  • 1 spoon til
Process->In a mixing bowl take the grated cabbage. Add sliced green chillies, corriander leaves, dhaniya jeera powder, turmeric, hing, salt, ajwain, garlic and 1 spoon oil. Mix it properly. Now add the gram flour and wheat flour. Don't add water and try to mix the flour with the cabbage. In a wide pan keep some water for boiling. Take a vegetable steamer and apply little oil. Make rolls of the cabbage mixture about   1" in diameter. Place in the steamer and steam it for 15-20 minutes. Insert a fork to check if the rolls are cooked. Cut cabbage rolls in small discs once it has cooled down. 
To a non-stick add 2 spoons oil. As the oil gets heated  add mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves, hing and til and let it splutter. Arrange the cabbage discs in the pan and roast them on medium flame on both sides till the become crisp and golden brown.
