Cluster beans/ Gavar

Cluster beans with peanuts is curry with mild spices which can be enjoyed with curd rice or rotis. Cleaning cluster beans is a time consuming  process but the final fry or gravy will be delicious. In villages they eat cluster beans fry with bhakri and onion on the side. The peanuts add a crunch to the soft cluster beans.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups cluster beans
  • 1 handful peanuts
  • 2 green chillies
  • 6-7 garlic pods
  • Salt
  • Turmeric
  • Oil


Process->Clean the cluster beans and cut it in 1" long pieces. Roast the peanuts in the microwave make a course powder in the blender. Take oil in pressure cooker add the green chillies and garlic and fry it. Add little turmeric and hing. Add the cluster beans and salt and give 2 whistles. Once the beans are cooked add the peanut powder and roast it on a low flame for 3-4 minutes. 

Note-> You can cook the cluster beans in a non-stick or iron pan also.
