Stuffed Banana Pepper

Stuffed capsicum or peeth perun shimla mirch as we say in marathi was a very common dish at my mom's house. I tried making it today only I used banana pepper instead of capsicum. Use small capsicums instead of the bigger ones.

Ingredients
  • 6 banana peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 5-6 spoons gram flour
  • Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 spoon dhaniya jeera powder
  • Turmeric
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Hing

Process->Roast the gram flour in a pan for 3-4 minutes on low flame. In a bowl take the gram flour in that add onion, red chillli powder, dhaniya jeera powder, turmeric, salt, hing and 1 spoon oil. Mix the stuffing properly. Slit the banana pepper length wise and fill the stuffing in the banana pepper. Heat 2 spoons oil in a skillet. Sprinkle little hing and turmeric in the oil. Arrange the stuffed banana pepper in the oil. Place a lid on the skillet and cook the banana pepper tender.

Note->Sprinkle little salt on the banana pepper while it is cooking as per your taste.
