Pakoda or bhaaji is the most favored appetizer and it has its own importance in any meal. No meal is complete without pakoda. There are a lot of variations of the pakoda. Gram flour generally makes many people gassy and I have tasted maida pakoda once and it tastes good. A perfect snack for tea time. Be it any pakoda it taste bests when eaten hot or they just lose the crispness after sometime.
Ingredients
- 1 cup grated cabbage
- 1 carrot grated
- 1/4 cup capsicum diced
- 1/4 cup green beans
- 1/4 cup onion diced
- 2 green chillies chopped
- 2 garlic cloves grated
- 1 spoon grated ginger
- Salt
- 2/3 cup all purpose flour
- Oil
Process->In a big bowl take the grated cabbage, carrot, capsicum, green beans, onions, chillies, garlic, ginger and salt. Mix all the vegetables properly. Take sufficient oil in a deep non-stick pan for frying. Add all purpose flour and 1/4 cup of water to the vegetables mixture. Don't make a loose batter. When the oil gets heated make small pakodas and fry it on a medium flame. Once it turns golden brown remove it. This proportion will make around 25-30 pakodas. Enjoy with tomato ketchup.
