My
husband was craving to eat bhendi fry with peanuts from a long time. Once you
have children your priorities change and most of the time you are fulfilling their
demands in terms of food.......not them anymore. So I decided I will cook
something that he likes. As the saying goes the entry to a man's heart is
through his stomach.
Ingredients
- 1/2
kg Bhendi
- 3
garlic cloves
- Curry
leaves
- 1/2
cup roasted coarse powdered peanuts
- 1/2
spoon dhaniya jeera powder
- Red
chilli powder
- Kanda
lasun masala
- Hing
- Salt
- Turmeric
- Oil
Process->In a hot pan add oil, curry leaves, hing, turmeric, garlic
cloves and stir. Add the bhendi and cook on a slow flame and add salt according
to taste. When the bhendi is half cooked add red chilli powder, dhaniya jeera
powder and kanda lasun masala. Mix it properly and finally add the peanut
powder to it. Let the bhendi cook properly and the peanuts powder should also
become little crunchy. Serve hot with chapati, phulka or curd rice.
