Mirchi thecha

Mirchi thecha or green chilli chutney is very popular in Maharashtra. Generally thecha is enjoyed with bhakri. Thecha is a very spicy chutney. It tastes good when made in a cast iron tava. Tried making it.

  • 2 handful green chillies
  • 7-8 garlic cloves
  • 2 handful roasted peanuts
  • Salt
  • Oil

Process->In a iron pan add some oil and let it get heated. Add all the green chillies and garlic in the pan and place a lid and cook it. When the chillies and garlic cloves are tender switch of the gas and let it cook. In a blener add the green chillies, garlic and salt and crush it coarse. Add the peanuts and make it in a coarse paste. In a small pan heat 2 spoons oil and add the thecha to the oil and fry it for 2-3 minutes.
