Veg pulao for kids

My friend and her little daughter were coming to my house to spend sometime with us. Wanted to cook one dish which the children and we can also enjoy. Something less spicy and just a flavour of the garam masalas. Different color vegetables make the rice attractive. So when the children were eating they were like I found a carrot, peas and corn ...thats was fun.

  • 2 cups rice
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup corn 
  • 1/2 cup carrot
  • 1/2 cup green beans
  • 1/2 medium onion sliced
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 masala eliachi
  • 2 pinches shahi jeera
  • 2 inch cinnamon
  • 3 pepper corns
  • 1 green chilli
  • Turmeric
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Butter
Process-> In a non-stick pan add oil. As the oil gets heated add all the whole garam masala and fry it. Add  the sliced onion and green chilli and toss it for 2-3 minutes. Now add all the mixed vegetables, salt and turmeric and cook them for 7-8 minutes on a medium flame. Wash the rice and add it to the vegetables and add 4 cups of hot water and butter. Cook the rice on a medium flame. Serve it with papad and raita.
