Peas Potato Rice

Mint and corrainder are useful for garnishing and for adding flavour to the food. I have added these herbs to the peas potato rice. When the corriander and mint start cooking with the biryani powder and vegetables .....the smell is awesome your mouth is ought to water. Make it and tell me whether your family enjoyed it.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 medium potato diced
  • 1/4 cup peas
  • 1 spoon biryani powder
  • 3-4 sliced green chillies
  • 1/2 cup mint leaves
  • 1/2 corriander leaves
  • 1 cup chopped tomato
  • 1/2 cup sliced onions
  • Turmeric
  • 1" ginger grated
  • 4 garlic pods sliced
  • Oil
  • 1 spoon butter
Process->Add 3 spoons oil to a heated pan. In that add onion, ginger, garlic and cook for a couple of minutes. In that add tomato, chopped corriander, mint leaves, green chillies, turmeric and biryani powder. Place a lid on the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on a medium flame. Add the potato and peas mix with the masala. Finally add the rice, salt and butter and toss it. Keep on stirring the rice till the butter melts. Finally add 2 cups water and cook the rice as usual.

Note->You can substitute potato with cauliflower or use the same recipe to make chicken or mutton biryani.
